By actuating the existing electronic throttle body found on modern diesel engines, the E-PAS automatically shuts off airflow in emergency situations, safely stopping the engine. Unlike other Duramax shutdown systems, BD’s E-PAS is the only solution on the market that operates without triggering a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) or trouble codes such as P0106. Installation is quick and hassle-free, thanks to factory plug-in connectors and a premade wiring harness—taking less than 1.5 hours. The system resets automatically after shutdown and can be easily removed for lease returns.
